Getting involved

As of June 2015, the gsecraif project is a one person endeavour; I sincerely hope that other people will get involved and if you are reading this, that could include you.

I am not a professional programmer and I wrote the initial version of gsecraif to meet my own needs and in the hope that it may be of use to others.

I work on this project in my spare time. This project is not in any way connected with the organisation I work for.

In setting up this project, I have been guided by the excellent book Producing Open Source Software by Karl Fogel. The article Create your own free software project in the May issue of LinuxVoice has also been useful.

There are many ways in which you can contribute to this project, especially while it is in the Alpha stage.

If you wish to re-write some or all of the code, that would be wonderful, if you have suggestions for improvement or patches to offer that would also be most appreciated.

All help with the documentation would be most welcome.

A contributor's guide may be written in the future; in the mean time the conventions and guidance provided by many reputable Open Source projects can be taken. Documentation is in the form of Doc book XML files. Source code is currently C++.

Contributions (documentation, patches or source code) should be sent to the email address below.

For now, in the short term, please send an email to:
